We work with growers and exporters at origin, and with importers in the UK. That's how a programme runs without surprises.

Why Canopi

We built Canopi around cargo that can't wait: unpredictable ports, tight capacity and time-sensitive clearance. On produce there is no slack to absorb any of it.

25,000+ TEUs a year.

Customs that keeps pace with the cargo

Entries lodged before the vessel berths and port health pre-notified, so nothing waits on paperwork it could have had days earlier.

Your produce, your requirements

Temperature and controlled atmosphere requirements taken at origin and held across every handover, which is where cold chains usually break.

Nationwide haulier network

Flexible truckers that adapt to changing arrival dates and tight delivery slots.

An account manager who knows your programme

Same person every time. They know your stakeholders, your commodity and what you shipped last season.

Common questions
How do you stop the cold chain breaking?

We take the temperature specifications from the grower and pass it to the shipping line and the hauliers, so everyone handling the box is working to the same number. While that sounds obvious, it's also where most cold chains break, at those handover points. On arrival we can pull the container's temperature log, so you get the actual record.

Do you handle controlled atmosphere?

Yes, controlled atmosphere (CA) is essential for certain commodities and we can ensure yours travels under those requirements.

What's your position on demurrage and detention?

That most of it is avoidable and some of it is wrongly charged. We lodge entries early so the box can move on discharge. We track free-time expiry daily and flag it early, and we also record the timestamp on every empty return, so you can challenge a charge that shouldn't have been raised.

Our arrival dates move constantly. Can your haulage cope?

Arrival dates move on every produce programme, so ours is built for it. We book to a window rather than a fixed slot and re-plan when the vessel slips.

Which origins do you move the most produce from?

South Africa, Egypt, Costa Rica, Morocco and Spain are our highest volume lanes. Transit times vary by season and by whether a sailing is direct or transhipped. Our transit times tool has indicative ranges for many of the origins we work on.

Tell us what you're moving. We'll tell you how we'd do it.
